Burning Man as a Modern American Pilgrimage

PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH STUDY TESTING BURNING MAN’S EFFECTS ON SELF-TRANSCENDENCE

HELLO- MY NAME IS ERIK. I’ve been studying transpersonal psychology for 10 years with Holos University in the Midwest. It’s come time to do a research study on a subject I feel very passionate about. I have heard the myriad of accounts from past burners and I would like to test new virgins to Burning Man and past burners in a study that would seek to place the Burning Man Experience as a modern American pilgrimage. There are transformational effects readily apparent, but all good science needs proof. Are you interested in being the proof?

I need at least 30 participants to complete personality inventories. All who email back or get in touch with me on the first day will be given the opportunity to see how their character and temperament change along time before, after and 180 days after the “burn.” More info coming soon……..

I will be at Burning Man a day early to organize participation. However, if you drop me an email at eriksfgmailcom, I can add you to the participant list and you can complete your questionnaire early. Just get in touch if you can devote 3 hours to the study.

You will get a random number ID and the results of your test, along with guidance of what measures changed for you personally. You will also get a copy of the final study, so you can see how Burning Man affected the participation group as a whole.
